Daoyi Dong is currently a Scientia Associate Professor at the University of New South Wales, Canberra, Australia, and he is also a Future Fellow of the Australian Research Council. He was with the Chinese Academy of Sciences and with the Zhejiang University. He had visiting positions at Princeton University, USA, RIKEN, Japan and the University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany, and the University of Sydney, Australia. He received a B.E. degree in automatic control and a Ph.D. degree in engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China, in 2001 and 2006, respectively. His research interests include quantum control and machine learning. He was awarded an ACA Temasek Young Educator Award by the Asian Control Association and is a recipient of a Future Fellowship, an International Collaboration Award, Discovery International Award and an Australian Post-Doctoral Fellowship from the Australian Research Council, and Humboldt Research Fellowship from Alexander von Humboldt Foundation in Germany. He served as an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems (2015-2021), and is currently a Technical Editor of IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics and an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics. He has also served as General Chair or Program Chair for several international conferences, and is currently a Member-at-Large of Board of Governors, IEEE Systems, Man and Cybernetics Society. He has published more than 100 journal papers in leading journals including Nature Human Behaviour, Physical Review Letters, IEEE Transactions, and Automatica, and more than 60 conference paper.
Fei-Yue Wang (Fellow, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degree in computer and systems engineering from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY, USA, in 1990. He joined the University of Arizona, Tucson, AZ, USA, in 1990, and became a Professor and the Director of the Robotics and Automation Laboratory and the Program in Advanced Research for Complex Systems. In 1999, he founded the Intelligent Control and Systems Engineering Center, Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Beijing, China, under the support of the Outstanding Overseas Chinese Talents Program from the State Planning Council and 100 Talent Program from CAS. In 2002, he joined the Laboratory of Complex Systems and Intelligence Science, CAS, as the Director, where he was the Vice President for research, education, and academic exchanges with the Institute of Automation from 2006 to 2010. In 2011, he was named as the State Specially Appointed Expert and the Director of the State Key Laboratory for Management and Control of Complex Systems, Beijing. His current research interests include methods and applications for parallel systems, social computing, parallel intelligence, and knowledge automation.
Dr. Wang was elected as a fellow of INCOSE, IFAC, ASME, and AAAS. In 2007, he was a recipient of the National Prize in Natural Sciences of China and was awarded the Outstanding Scientist by ACM for his research contributions in intelligent control and social computing. He was a recipient of the IEEE ITS Outstanding Application and Research Awards in 2009,2011, and 2015, and the IEEE SMC Norbert Wiener Award in 2014. He has been the General or Program Chair of more than 30 IEEE, INFORMS, ACM, and ASME conferences. He was the President of the IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Society from 2005 to 2007, the Chinese Association for Science and Technology, New York, NY, USA, in 2005, and the American Zhu Kezhen Education Foundation from 2007 to 2008. He was the Vice President of the ACM China Council from 2010 to 2011, and the Chair of IF.
Shanglu He is an associate professor at the Department of Transportation Engineering, School of Automation, Nanjing University of Science and Technology. She graduated from Southeast University with a Ph.D. in 2017 and worked as a research assistant in the Transportation Operations and Safety (TOPS) Laboratory of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The main research directions include intelligent networked transportation system, automatic driving dedicated lane management and control technology, highway traffic information acquisition technology and traffic state analysis. She presided over the National Natural Science Foundation of China Youth Program, the Jiangsu Provincial Natural Science Foundation of Youth Program, the General Program and Special Funding Program of China Postdoctoral Fund, and the Ministry of Transport's Laboratory Open Fund Project. She has published many high-level academic papers in international academic journals and conferences in the field of transportation, including Journal of Intelligent Transportation Systems, IET Intelligent Transport Systems, TRB conferences, etc. She served as a member of the World Transportation Conference (WTC) Intelligent Networked Transportation System Facility Planning Technical Committee, a member of the Jiangsu Provincial System Engineering Society, and a reviewer for SCI journals and international conferences in the field of intelligent transportation such as IEEE ITS, IEEE ITS Magazine, IET ITS, TRB, etc..

Dayang Hao is the tech lead of ADLab’s Perception team under Alibaba Damo Academy, where he has helped invent and develop Xiaomanlv and Damanlv delivery vehicles. He is also a seasoned veteran in Planning & Control and led a research team focused on applying mathematical optimization methods and learning methods to path & speed planning modules of autonomous driving vehicles. Prior to autonomous driving, he was engaged in online advertising system development at Baidu and Facebook for seven years. He received B.S. degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Zhejiang University and M.S. degree in Computer Science from University of Missouri.
Mr. Mingjiang Shi is a senior technical expert in Banma. He received a B.E. degree in Automation from UESTC (2004), and a Master degree in Control Theory and Control Engineering from SJTU (2007). He has 15 years of industry experience with EMC, Pivotal, Alibaba and Banma, specialized in cloud storage, cloud service development and architecture.
Jing Wei received the B.Eng degree with First Class Honor in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in 2010; and the M.S. and Ph.D. degree in Robotic area from the Mechanical Engineering Department, Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA, USA, in 2014 and 2017 respectively. He worked as a Research Scientist at the Institute of Infocomm Research; and Institute of High Performance Computing, Agency for Science, Technology and Research, Singapore. He was the PI and Co-PI of several research and Industrial projects. He co-founded EwayBot, a robot startup and led to several rounds of fundings. Currently, he is working as a Staff Algorithm Engineer in Alibaba Group. He manages a team working on prediction, reinforcement learning, auto-labeling, and scene recognition of autonomous vehicles department, to push the autonomous logistic vehicle to commercialization in Alibaba. His research interests include Robotics, Autonomous Vehicle, Reinforcement Learning, Machine Learning, task and motion planning.

Chenyuan He received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2020, and then did postdoctoral training at the same university. Before that, she received her M.S. and B.S. degrees in Communication Engineering from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China in 2012 and 2015 respectively. She is currently an Associate Professor with the School of Automotive and Traffic Engineering, Jiangsu University, Zhenjiang, China. Her research interests include Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communications, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) traffic management, optimal control, learning control, and spatiotemproal stochastic networks. She published papers in international journals and conference proceedings, including IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics: Systems, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, International Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, etc.
Dr. Sheng Yang is a research engineer in the autonomous driving lab of Alibaba DAMO academy. He received a B.S. degree in Computer Science from Wuhan University (2014), and a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Tsinghua University (2019). His research interests include computer graphics, dense 3D reconstruction, simultaneous localization and mapping, and high-definition mapping for autonomous driving. Over the last few years, he has authored many high-level research papers in top journals and conferences in the computer graphics, computer vision, and robotics communities.
He has long-term work accumulation in the field of intelligent transportation system and cloud computing. Relevant research results have achieved significant results in the control and management of traffic in more than 10 cities, such as Suzhou, Guangzhou, Qingdao, Binzhou, Taiyuan, etc. as the technical director, he completed the Internet of things demonstration application (Guangzhou) project of National Development and Reform Commission, and obtained major scientific and technological innovation achievements of National Ministry of Transport. Participated in drafting one international standard and four national standards. The research and application work has long been supported by 973, 863, NSFC, knowledge innovation project of Chinese Academy of Sciences and other projects, and won the special prize of technological invention of China Association of Automation (2018), the first prize of natural science of China Association of Automation (2020), the first prize of science and technology progress of China highway society (2017), the second prize of science and technology progress of China Intelligent Transportation Society (2017 and 2019) The first prize of technological invention of China Association of Automation (2011) and the second prize of science and technology progress of Beijing (2004). In 2010, he won the title of excellent young engineer in Beijing. So far, more than 50 international journal papers and more than 100 international conference papers have been published, and more than 50 invention patents have been authorized.

Lin Qiao completed his undergraduate and doctoral studies at the College of Optical Science and Engineering, Zhejiang University, China. His research focused on photoelectric sensors, and he participated in the project and published more than 10 papers during his school years.
Dr. Lin has been engaged in the overall design and development of a certain type of rocket control system in aerospace and obtained the title of Senior Engineer. During 2017-2020, he served as one of the founding members and Tech Lead in Alibaba's unmanned driving team, specializing in unmanned hardware systems, where he led the team in accomplishing the application of hundreds of unmanned logistics vehicles on campus.
Since 2020, he joined Beijing Eacon Technology Co., Ltd., an autonomous driving company in mining, in the role of Tech VP.. At Eacon, he works in the front line in the mining areas in Xinjiang and Inner Mongolia. With he and his team’s great efforts, Eacon has succeeded in operating driverlessly on a regular basis in certain fields of the National Energy Zhundong Mine, which is pioneering in China. Dr. Lin Qiao has over 10 years of experience in unmanned system research and development. He has obtained more than 40 patents so far.
Dr. Yu Liu, the Co-founder and CEO of Revolution-Auto Inc., is a veteran with more than 10-year experience in the autonomous driving industry. The 2-year startup, Revolution-Auto, focuses on the advanced research and development of the one-stop solution of the intelligent sanitation service, including L4 self-driving sanitation vehicles/robots and cloud-based command & control center.
Dr. Liu graduated from Xi’an Jiaotong University with a bachelor’s degree and Master degree in Information Engineering and Automation, and a Ph.D. from the University of New Orleans, L.A., US. His research interests include multi-sensor fusion, multi-target tracking, estimation and decision-making theory and its application to environment perception, e.g., ground-, air- and underwater-target surveillance. His fruitful research outcomes are presented by more than 30 peer-reviewed journal/conference papers, and more than 10 patents in US, EU and China.
Zehua Huang is a renowned expert in autonomous systems and computer vision with 20+ patents and published papers in the field. He has led technology teams in the automated mobility space for the last decade. He is the founder and CEO of Zeron Inc., a newly founded startup aiming to redesign trucks for automated driving. Before that, he served as the Senior Vice President of Engineering at TuSimple, a leading autonomous truck company. At TuSimple, he oversaw R&D teams building AI algorithms, infrastructure tools, and sensor and hardware systems for automated semi-trucks. Zehua is unique for his breadth of knowledge in the diverse disciplines that support automated mobility and his dedication to systems engineer holistic, robust solutions that support supply chain resiliency and transportation safety.
